i remember at the age of 14, i was studying with a very well respected elder in the congregation.
me, him, and my dad studied together.
every once in a while during the study, he would turn to me and ask me "have you dedicated your life to jehovah?".
When I first encountered the JWs a couple of years ago, I honestly thought they were the truth. I did have a sincere desire to preach the kingdom news and to help those in need. When I started studying, I couldn't wait to go out in field service; I wanted nothing more.
To make a long story short, I figured out you don't need to be a JW to serve God and help people in need.

i went into hospital early tuesday morning, had surgery wednesday and had to have a flamin pipe stook up through my gum travelling into the back of my nose.
not nice lol, they had sewn it into my gum but they took it and the stitches out this morning so it was only 2 days, the other stitches will disolve.
I was wondering why I haven't seen you around lately. Hope you feel better and get back on track soon.
i have not been to a meeting in about 6 years, and no one had bothered me.
but that is about to change, my sister called me tonight to tell me the news.
my mom had called her to tell her that the elders wanted to know where i lived because they wanted to encourage me to come back.
All that will be changed, because if I met with them, I will be df. If I don'tmet with them, I am sure they will find a reason to df me anyway.

Azaria - It sounds to me like whatever happened is a simple mis-understanding. Are you upset because you didn't get as many replies as you anticipated, or did people come out point blank and say you weren't welcome?
If the former, then everybody else summed it up, threads get pushed back due to the number of members, some of us don't have time to read long posts all the time, etc. etc.
From what I've seen, there have been a number of posts with little or no bearing on the JWs, and they get a lot of attention, people have a good laugh, and have fun.
I think you should give us another chance. After all, I mistakenly thought somebody was accusing me of ripping ideas, but it turns out that was a mis-understanding. Now if I would've gotten mad and left, then I would've missed out. Don't make the same mistake.
every year we grow more and more dependent on the internet.
but would you know what to do if your connection suddenly went down?
no one knows when the internet will fail.
Has internet ever gone down completely? Probably hackers would love to do that.
But then they'd be out of a job. Hackers wouldn't be a threat anymore if there was no more internet.
I guess I'm just a night person. Let's see, TV, video games, internet, eating too much sugar, that kind of stuff.

I am with Stephanus on this one. You can definelty get some wild, vigorous, booby fondling in before 5 seconds. I would like to know if this rule is official. If so, I have me some titty grabbing to do this Sunday!

Depends. Stirring up controversy can have a negative connotation of one who is just out to cause trouble, for no other reason than for his or her own personal amusement. A wake up call implies the poster is trying to educate people, or get his or her point across.
